Hello I'm Rich Brown and this is my personal website and blog. I'm just your simple, average, down to earth, professional, out gay man and aspiring circuit boy, living in Phoenix, Arizona with a few things to say while trying to find my place among all the scary, conservative, religious nuts in this sick and twisted world.

Fleming-Magin Wedding
@HOME. Ok, so now that I'm finally out of bed and to say the least, not feeling very well. I think I probably did have too good of a time last night, but this was an event that we've been anticipating for years now.
Don and I have known each other since 1992. I first met Don when he was brought to one of my fraternities parties by a friend of his who was pledging at the time. Shortly after Don decided he too was going to pledge my fraternity. Don choose me as his big brother which let to many drunken nights spent at the fraternity house before I eventually graduated and moved to Arizona in 1994.
Mark and I have a unique connection because of Don. There is quite an interesting story that ties all of us together. Mark moved out to Arizona in 1996. It was March of 1996 and my first day on the job at MicroAge. It was also Mark's first day on the job at MicroAge as well. At this point we did not know each other but our cubes were next to each other. We started talking and going through the usual small talk of asking where each was from, he said "Pennsylvania" ... to which I replied "me too!" He told me he went to a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania called Westminster College. I told him that I went to the Penn State University. Then replied, "oh well my brother and I have a good friend who we grew up with in Pittsburgh and we used to go to Penn State all the time to party with him at his fraternity house." I then said "oh yeah, which house?" Mark replied "Pi Lambda Phi." I said "No way, I was a brother at Pi Lambda Phi ... who was you friend?" Mark said "oh you graduated a few years ago so you might not know him, his name is Don Fleming." So of course I said "this is too crazy, Don Fleming was my little brother at the house..." We both laughed and couldn't believe at how we were tied together like this. Mark and Don grew up together and Don and I were fraternity brothers. After talking some more about it, we realized that we had talked before and that I used to call Mark's house to talk to Don, when he was staying with Mark's family one summer. It's amazing at how small the world becomes. Mark and I have been great friends ever since that day.
Don eventually finished at Penn State and with some coaxing from both Mark and I, he moved out here to Phoenix in 1999. I believe Don and Kris met in 2002 and have been engaged since November of 2003.
Anyway that's the story of how we are all tied together. Here are some of the photos from Kris and Don's wedding yesterday. It was a beautiful day outside, sunny and 80 degrees. We had a really great time.
