New Website Up!
@HOME. So I decided to spend a few hours tonight and just get this damn thing done. The new website is about 90% finished and I've decided to roll it out. I'll finish the missing parts tomorrow. I have to say that personally, I really like it. I had the design idea in my head for a while, I just never had time to sit down and do it. The graphics take the most time to create. I really liked my old site as well and this has been the longest I've gone without any major rewrites of my personal site. I guess my Web Design ADD started to kick in and I was just ready for a change with the entire site which let me to this one.
For anyone that would like the technical details, the site is completely written using Microsoft.NET. After I created the site, I also created a template page and customized it for blogger so that my blogger template will match my website exactly. (One of these days I'll use my own server for my blog posts, but I haven't found any .NET Blogging software I like and don't feel like writing one, so for now I'm content using Blogger to post) All the graphics were custom created using Photoshop. I guess that's it. I'm happy to finally have this out for now. Time to get a few hours of sleep. Cheers!
Wowza!!!! Rich I LOVE the new look, it's fabulous! That pic of you at the top is exceptionally great, it's a good one of you but also just the whole feeling of the shot is terrific. :) Good work!
Oh and to answer your photo-poll, I really love looking at your pictures so I hope you keep posting them, but to be honest yes your page takes awhile to load......how about posting a link to go see your pics each time, would that help??

Yeah I had this referrer script running in the bottom right panel which I took out. It was hitting another site and I think that was what was actually taking the page such a long time to load, the way I have the page designed it has to parse the right panel first then load the page. I realized that was probably the case when I didn't have it running last night and the site was fast but then I put it back in this morning. I can live without it.
