Hello I'm Rich Brown and this is my personal website and blog. I'm just your simple, average, down to earth, professional, out gay man and aspiring circuit boy, living in Phoenix, Arizona with a few things to say while trying to find my place among all the scary, conservative, religious nuts in this sick and twisted world.

Blue Eyed Boys In The Philadelphia Burbs
Now contrary to yesterday's post, I wish I were a perv because I'd actually have photos to illustrate my point here, but unfortunately I don't so please bear with me. Being back here, meaning here as in where I spent the first 18 years of my life, I've come to the conclusion that the Pennsylvania countryside, namily the Philadelphia suburbs, are fairly heterogeneous as far as the people are concerned. I think this may apply to quite a large majority of the north east coast as well but I'm just going to discuess Philadelphia at the moment. It seems to me that so many of the families here are generations old, where many of the people were born here, raised here and have spent their entire lives here. Because of this simple fact, many of us are the offspring of the original German, Polish and Czech settlers who made their way out to settle the Pennsylvania Countryside in the late 1800's. Now while I am starting to see some diversity in the area, the average Philadelphia suburbanite appears to be of some Eastern European descent and frankly I think that's just pretty damn hot.
This leads into to my other conclusion. Walking around the mall today has brought me to believe that there are a disproportionate number of blue eyed boys here in the Philadelphia Suburbs. I looked around and all I saw were boys with blue eyes in every direction. Some blonde hair, some black here, but a majority of them having brown hair. It was almost a tad surreal. Blue eyes everywhere. Old, young, short and tall. For anyone who loves the dark haired, blue eyed boy type, this is certainly the place to be. I guess I'm no exception to this either since I myself also have dark hair and blue eyes. I guess when I was growing up here I never really thought about it or really took the time to look around and compare ... eyes that is, now locker-room penis size, that's another story! So the next time your in the Philly Suburbs, look around for yourself and let me know what you see in the eyes of others.
Alright, now back to my previous comment about the people being heterogeneous. They more or less are. Everyone looks the same. Most of the guys all look alike in both appearance and dress. Clothing style I can usually understand because that's generally influenced by a region, however appearance is another thing. It's easy to see when a group of people stay within their community, the characteristics and traits passed down from generation to generation don't really change all that much. If I would compare old photos of either of my Grandfathers when they were younger with many of the young men I saw walking around today, you could almost see that in three or four generations, the guys here still look strikingly similar. In some ways it's pretty cool in other ways it's sort of creepy.
I will say just one thing though, while the Philly boys are hot, hot, HOT ... the Philly girls, well, lets just say that big hair, tons of makeup and Bon Jovi t-shirts went out in the 80's so girls it's time to throw out the aqua net, the concert t's and move into the 90's. There it is, my Philly fashion tip of the week, god I should get paid for this shit. ;-)
Tonight it's off to my visit with my friends Sean and Suzette, and tomorrow it's off to the family BBQ. Gee it's so exciting to be back home. Alright, more to come this week. Cheers for now.
