Hello I'm Rich Brown and this is my personal website and blog. Fall Has Arrived
It's true, fall is finally upon us, and as I write this I'm sitting here at my desk almost drenched in sweat becuase I had the forethought to finally turn off the air-conditioning in the house and open a few of the windows. I guess maybe it's still a bit premature to turn off the air-conditioning in Arizona.

Fortunatly for those of us in a place like Arizona, fall dosen't mean falling leaves, chilly days or winter coats. It means that we can finally start to turn off our A/C units, open the windows and enjoy the 80 degree days. It means that we can finally get out our favorite pair of jeans to wear outside without overheating. It also means that all the snowbirds will soon be on their way back to the valley to congest our freeways, grocery stores and restaurants. Oh the joys.
Don't get me wrong here I love the weather and I love being able to still go outside at night with a tank top on if I so desire. I do sometimes miss the fall that I grew up with in the east. The changing of the leaves, the brisk fall air, the smell of burning fireplaces and restocking your closets with an entirely separate wardrobe specifically for the season.

Spending some time in Montreal in early October gave me a little fix of what I remembered fall to be like while growing up. Some days I really do miss the east coast, the fall, the winter and the first snow, but then there are those days when I watch the news and see that pretty much everything along the eastern seaboard has been shut down due to snow storms, and I look out my open window to a nice sunny day, blue sky and trees with leaves still hanging, and I think how much I love living in a warm climate. Happy fall everyone! Cheers.
It's friggin cold here. Had the car seat warmers on this morning. Frost on the dead lawn and a cold fog. Snow is just around the corner. My A/C had the winter cover put on it at the beginning of this month.
