Happy Birthday To Me
Well first, yes I'm back from Los Angeles. Justin and got back in around midnight on Sunday night. It was very difficult to go back to work today after a weekend of debauchery with my friends in Los Angeles. I'll post photos and details shortly.
Tonight Justin and I went to the movies to see 'The Departed' since we had two movies passes that expired tomorrow. I'll just say that the movie was incredibly well done and a great story line. For me it was along the lines of Crash and I would highly recommend going to see it.
Lastly it's now 12:57 and it's officially my 36th Birthday. Yes this is a shameless self-birthday promotion post and I don't even care. I'm telling you bitches yet again so you can plan accordingly for next year and remember to send the presents early!
Philip, Bernard, Tony, Roger, and Justin all helped me to an early celebration this past weekend in Los Angeles, and it was great. I really am very lucky to have such wonderful friends. I don't really have anything special planned for my birthday today. Work is going to be pretty busy and following it, I'm probably going out to dinner to my favorite restaurant, AZ-88, with at least my Mom and Justin, and hopefully Mark and Andrea as well if they can join us. In all honesty I've never really been one to be big on birthdays, it's just another day, but it does make you feel special and loved when people remember. So thanks to Clint and Dan for their early wishes this evening.
I've been mentally preparing myself for this day because it officially marks the year that I'm now closer to 40 then I was to 30. I'm not sure if I'm ready that yet or not, but I suppose there isn't much I can do about it. I've seen quite a bit over these 36 years and I can honestly say that I'm happier now then I've been in a really long time, so that has to count for something right? I have an amazing partner (Justin), a wonderful little puppy (Berger), a supportive family (My Mother and the clan back east), amazing friends (You know who you are!), a beautiful home, a good job and my health. I wouldn't consider myself lucky, I would consider myself incredibly fortunate and as my Mother likes to point out, very blessed, to have all the pieces of my life fit together so well.
Well that's it, I'm off to bed to dream a little before I have to get up and head into the office. I promise I'll post photos from the trip this week. Happy Birthday to me and cheers to the rest of you!

Happy birthday handsome man - sounds like you celebrated in style, as should be the case.
I will begin planning TODAY so I can choose a most excellent gift for next year. Did you like what I sent you this year? Stunning, eh?
Trust me, as a guy who just turned 38 this July, life only gets better. Sure, we are getting older and, Lord knows that in Gay-land that is a no-no. Thing is, it's unavoidable and gonna happen to everyone.
Like you, I am happier than I have ever been in my whole life, and that is all the matters!
Take an extra blow on the BIG birthday candle, baby! ;-)
