Out On The Town With Mark
That's right the rumors are all true, Mark was back in town from San Francisco for a few days visit and ready to party hard.
Mark had called me on Sunday night to inform me that he was in town and we needed to hang out on Monday night. Monday night rolled around and following a short nap after work, Justin and I headed up to Amsterdam to meet up with Mark and friends for Manicure & Martini Mondays. The crowd was small but it sure was pretty. Mark was accompanied by friend Kat, and then joined by Mike who saw what a great time Mark & Kat were having and introduced himself.
Over the next few hours there certainly was no shortage of Martini's being placed in front of us. Compliments of Mark, we basked in the sweet temptations of Creme Brulee-tini's, Washington Apple-tini's, and Bananas Foster-tini's. They were all simply alcoholic orgasams in our mouths.
We laughed, danced and caught up with each other for a few hours.

Around midnight the crew decided they were a bit hungry so we headed up to the 5 & Diner for a quick bit to eat. Thank god it was Monday, because weekend service at 5 & Diner in nortoriously slow, but tonight it was very prompt. We finished our food and headed over to Charlie's for last call.
All I'm going to say about Charlie's on Monday nights is that it's underwear night. Now for whatever reason, it's always the people that shouldn't be in their underwear that are, and the people that should be in their underwear that aren't. Enough said. The music was fun and we stayed until around 2 AM before packing it in, saying goodbye and calling it a night.
It was great to spend some time again with Mark who's now back in San Francisco and enjoying every minute of it. We did get the hard sell as to when Justin and I are going to move back to San Francisco. Ah that's always the big question isn't it? I think for now we're happy in Phoenix and until it's feasible for us to have another house in San Francisco, we won't be moving back anytime soon.
So it was a fun night, we had a chance to meet a few new people and catch up with an old friend, and have some fabulous martini's. Hopefully this is a good start to a long week before we head out to Los Angeles this weekend. Cheers.
