Hello I'm Rich Brown and this is my personal website and blog. I'm just your simple, average, down to earth, professional, out gay man and aspiring circuit boy, living in Phoenix, Arizona with a few things to say while trying to find my place among all the scary, conservative, religious nuts in this sick and twisted world.

Happy Thanksgiving!
@HOME. It's been a really great holiday weekend. Everything turned out great yesterday for Turkey Day. It's been nice having my Mom here with us for the holiday. We went to IKEA today to walk around. That took most of the afternoon. I love that store. Tonight after we got home we had the leftovers from yesterday for dinner. Following dinner Justin and I dug out the Christmas decorations and started the decorating process. I'm tired now and we'll finish the rest tomorrow. He's a picture of Berg hanging out with a Martini after we were finished decorating. LOL. Cheers!Labels: Berger, Holidays

Not Much Going On
@HOME. Just got back from a movie with Justin. We went to see National Treasure. It was pretty good ... I really get into that secret hidden clue treasure hunt kinda crap anyway. I'm glad we decided to go. My Mom got into town this afternoon around noon. She'll be staying here with us until after Thanksgiving. Should be a nice holiday that we can all spend together this year. I wish my Father were still here. He would really enjoy this.
So this week was rather uneventful. I did get much completed at work which makes taking a few days off this coming week easier. I didn't want to be put into a time crunch with my deadlines. Everything with work is going well. I'm not as frustrated as I've been over the past few months. I've just accepted that office politics are the norm and decided to ride out the storm to see where it takes me.
I know I said this already but it was really nice being back in San Francisco last weekend. We couldn't have had any better weather. It was sunny and a nice 65 degrees outside. Justin was a bit down later in the day on Saturday because he really didn't want to leave. That's understandable. Unless something drastic happens I think we will move back there someday. I'm thinking around a 2-4 year plan.
Justin and I are in the process of starting to plan our 3rd annual Holiday bash. We did a liquor inventory the other day. Surprising how much alcohol we still have left from last years buying spree. I think we'll have to buy much less this year. We were chatting about the guest list last night. I think we're going to schedule it here soon and finalize the list this week so that we can send out the invite. We don't want to run into any conflicting parties. Oh life is so tough. LOL.
I think we're actually going to start digging out the Christmas decorations this weekend and getting them ready. I don't know what's different about this year but I'm actually starting to get into the Christmas mood already. I think it's because it will be our second Christmas in our house this year and we've really made it our home over the past year. It's not been such a bad year overall. I'm looking forward to the future. Alright I better get to bed it's getting late. Cheers.

Ready For Bed
@HOME. I'm laying here in bed getting ready to go to sleep. I'm also working from home tomorrow so I'll try and write more. It's been a busy week with work but very productive. Went to San Francisco with Justin, Mark & Andrea last weekend. That was really fun. Got to see and hang out with a bunch of my old friends Philip, Mark & Bernard. I miss San Francisco. I told Mother we wanted to move back there and she wasn't happy. Everything is ok now after a long conversation on Wednesday night. It's late and I'm sleepy. I'll write more tomorrow.

Home Sick
@HOME. I'm actually at home with a cold today. Must have caught something this weekend when I was out dancing all night on Saturday. Anyway I'm completely and utterly disgusted. I can't believe the American people were so blind as to re-elect George W. Bush. I realize today that most people don't view it from the same perspective. For those of us that are gay this election has an effect on our rights, our choices and our life. Justin and I are both disgusted. Also I can't believe that 11 more states added Marriage Clauses in their state constitutions. Even in modern times this country seems to be moving more towards deeply rooted religious beliefs and conservatism. I especially hate all the talk around 'moral values' that somehow implies that because I'm gay I have neither morals or values.
